The Hp Elite Dragonfly Chromebook Review: an Incredible Ultraportable Laptop

The new HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook shocks the system with its gorgeous blue-magnesium chassis that is much lighter than it looks, making it appear that the copper and black Spectre laptops weren’t sufficient. The Dragonfly’s appeal, however, goes well beyond its outward appearance because of its stunning display, slim bezels, and unexpectedly extended battery life for a device of this size.

We recommend HP Elite Dragonfly because it’s a superior 2-in-1 laptop. It is more than worth the money. It will make other laptop manufacturers take note of HP as a pioneer in high-end computers. It is one of the greatest laptops available and one of the best Windows laptops.

Dragonfly Notebook: How Much Does it Cost?

The Dragonfly is priced to be beyond the reach of most consumers at $1,664 and is more suited for executives on the go.

Hp Elite Dragonfly has a Stunner In Blue Design

The HP Dragonfly is a 2-in-1 laptop that is so stunning that it may impact the generation of notebooks that come after it. It was named after the shade of blue that HP painted the device, from its eye-catching color to its subtle silver accents and extremely grippable feel.

The lightweight construction of this laptop is excellent, but despite that, the device doesn’t seem flimsy. Other magnesium-shell machines we’ve examined in the past buckled or bent when you held or applied pressure, but the Dragonfly doesn’t because of internal reinforcements. The machined metal casing of the Dragonfly has an oleophobic coating from HP that makes it simple to clean off smudges. The HP Dragonfly boasts one of our favorite keyboards, which allows you to get started quickly. Additionally, the HP Dragonfly has a wide range of ports, including two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, HDMI out, a USB 3.1 port, and a headphone jack.

Hp Chromebook Full Review

With an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8665U processor and 16GB of RAM, the high-end HP Dragonfly we examined offers quick performance. When we used our screen with the 4K remaster, we experienced no slowdown.

The Geekbench 4.3 general-performance benchmark result for the Dragonfly is a little lower than the average for high-end laptops. However, the Dragonfly’s rating outperforms the MacBook Air.

The Dragonfly’s compact, lightweight chassis is more durable than it should be. In 12 hours and 25 minutes, our battery depleted the blue brilliance of a full charge. The dragonfly has small heat sensitivity. After playing a 15-minute full-HD movie feed on the laptop, it gets a little warmer. However, there is some improvement in Dragonfly’s audio quality.

Final Verdict

With its clear, gorgeous display, slim profile, and strong security features, the HP elite dragonfly Chromebook is as attractive to look at as it is to operate. If only it weren’t so expensive—we shuddered when we saw the price of our testing unit. The HP Elite Dragonfly merits the Elite designation because of its exceptional elegance and durability.
