Since the time smart locks started gaining popularity, Lockly door locks have become a familiar name across homes. The brand that makes secure and advanced smart locks now presents the Lockly Vision smart lock that outsmarts its rivals. To discover what makes Lockly Vision different from other smart locks, keep reading this Lockly Vision review. The new device is not merely a smart lock with convenient remote access for locking and unlocking. A two-in-one device that doubles as a video doorbell is the specialty of the Lockly Vision smart lock. Besides the video doorbell, the smart lock has a fingerprint scanner, too, which would attract future-oriented users. Despite having multiple features not usually found in smart locks, the latest Lockly smart lock does not deliver as expected. Unfortunately, the sum of the parts does not make the whole.

Lockly Door Locks – Setting a New Standard

One thing that catches the eye is the maker’s intention to innovate and set a new standard in the smart locking concept. Although the Lockly Vision brings an air of freshness to the smart lock segment, it fails to live up to the expectations that have grown around the high-performing Lockly door locks. Indeed, it’s a smart door lock, but the video doorbell is just average. However, there is no denying that Lockly has shown how other smart lock makers might soon emulate it. This Lockly smart lock review provides more insights about the exciting new smart lock with much potential.

Features

The feature-packed elite Vision smart lock is a suitable replacement for the full-deadbolt lock and is ideal for smart homes. Besides a regular key, there’s a built-in camera, an integrated door sensor, a fingerprint reader, a keypad, voice control using Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa, and the Lockly smartphone app. The door sensor not only indicates whether the door is open or closed but provides five different options for unlocking.

With the help of the app, you can create and share digital keys, but the recipient must download the Lockly app to use the keys. However, another way to share keys when you are not at home is to generate a key code offline for the intended user and later revoke it.

The keypad uses PIN Genie technology to generate three numbers for each touch point for additional security. It makes it impossible for anyone to guess the code, even if they peep over your shoulder. However, inputting the code becomes difficult as you have to search for the numbers each time.

An integrated doorbell camera sits at the top of the keypad. On pressing the doorbell button, the lock sets off a loud ding-dong sound, and then it triggers an alert. You can view a live feed and control the door lock without exiting the screen.

Despite so many features, Lockly door locks like the elite Vision are excellent door locks first and then a video doorbell.
