It’s no secret that OnePlus has had trouble maintaining consistency with its smartphone cameras over the years, but with its new OnePlus 9 pro series, the company hopes to stop all the bad news. The new photo sensors for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro have been jointly developed with Swedish camera maker Hasselblad, which claims to bring its renowned color science to OnePlus 9 pro’s camera.
OnePlus 9 Pro Design
OnePlus hasn’t gone overboard with the OnePlus 9 Pro design, which, depending on the perspective, might be excellent or terrible. The OnePlus 9 pro phone resembles the OnePlus 8 Pro in size and basic design; however, the Oneplus 9 Pro is thinner at 8.7mm and a tiny bit lighter (197g). Its curved front & back are covered in Gorilla Glass and have an aluminum frame. The OnePlus 9 pro colors are matte finishes of the Pine Green, and Stellar Black colors are preferable to the mirror shine finish of the Morning Mist trim that is currently in demand since they offer a more upscale appearance and feel.
OnePlus 9 Pro Specs
The OnePlus 9 Pro comes equipped with numerous satellite navigation systems, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, & fast RAM and storage addition to these features. To better handle greater temperatures, the firm claims it incorporated a bigger vapor chamber, thicker graphite sheets, and a larger copper coil in the OnePlus 9 Pro. Compared to other markets like the US and Europe, the Indian released OnePlus 9 Pro 5G bands (N41, N78) support both SA & NSA modes. Given the current condition of 5G in India, this was not such a major concern, but it’s still something to be aware of.
OnePlus 9 Pro Camera
The rear sensors of the OnePlus 9 Pro are reportedly brand-new and were explicitly designed with Sony. With a 48-megapixel Sony IMX789 sensor, the primary camera offers features including dual native ISO, a 2×2 on-chip lens for rapid focusing, and DOL-HDR for improved dynamic range in backlit still and video images. For more detailed color information, 12-bit RAW files can be captured instead of 10-bit ones. The OnePlus 9 Pro‘s built-in gallery software doesn’t allow editing RAW files, so users still need a third-party program like Adobe Lightroom.
Videos shot both all day and at night have excellent quality. Even in low light, stabilization performs well at 4K, with no jitter or shakiness. Users can select between the primary or ultra-wide cameras at 4K 30fps, but not the telephoto one.
OnePlus 9 Pro Price
There are two different versions of the OnePlus 9 Pro: one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs Rs. 64,999 (820USD), and the other with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs Rs. 69,999(833USD). The OnePlus 9 Pro‘s RAM and storage are LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1, respectively.
