The Sony Inzone M9 gaming monitor is a fantastic product that costs $899. It is a gaming device made by Sony and produced by a brand-new hardware branch named Inzone, which is separate from Sony Interactive Entertainment. Inzone doesn’t produce hardware, judging the M9’s design, which is similar to Sony’s newest machine, you wouldn’t know it.
Despite some branding ambiguity, the Inzone M9 is among the best gaming monitor we’ve tried. This summer, the Sony Inzone M9 gaming display will be available for $899. It has a 27-inch 4K LCD 144Hz display with a brightness of 600 nits and a response time of 1ms. In winter 2022, Sony will release the Inzone M3 gaming monitor.
The Inzone M9 is a small gaming monitor that takes up little room on a desk. With its black and white exterior, it has a PS5-like design. The bottom portion, which houses the ports, is black, while most of the rear is white. Color is only provided via an LED strip running down the back.
The Inzone M9’s stand is more akin to a tripod than most monitors’ typical V-shaped stand, with a central shaft holding the screen and two thinner legs offering support from behind the stand.
On the back of the display, there are a lot of connectors. There are two HDMI 2.1 ports, a headphone jack, three USB-A, one USB-B, and one USB-C connector, in addition to one Display port.
A 27-inch 144Hz 4K LCD IPS panel with a 1ms reaction time is included on the Inzone M9. Speaking of PS5-specific capabilities, Auto HDR tone mapping enhances the HDR settings on the console by instantly identifying Inzone game monitors after the first setup.
Performance and Interface
The Inzone M9 is a dedicated gaming monitor. It can display PS5 games at a smooth 120 frames per second because it supports HDMI 2.1. When tweaking a game’s visual settings, you can play up to 144 frames per second on a PC. Let’s just say that the Inzone M9 is an excellent display for PCs and contemporary consoles. It has extremely quick response and average speaker quality.
The system interface of the Inzone M9 has a transparent grey background, white writing, and purple accents that match the Inzone line. Thanks to the snappy OSD joystick, navigating through the monitor’s different menus was simple and straightforward.
The top monitors made by companies like Samsung, LG, Asus, and Acer are competitors of the Sony Inzone M9 gaming monitor. Game graphics on the PS5 and PC are excellent, thanks to the Inzone M9’s picture quality. It’s practically impossible to resist because it’s so reasonably priced at $899, especially if you’re looking for a good gaming monitor that doesn’t take up a lot of room. Even if there are nicer displays, like our favorite Alienware 34, it’s difficult to overlook what the Inzone M9 offers.
