Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Pros And Cons
- Large, bright, 120Hz display
- Battery life is excellent
- A processor with super-fast speed
- A camera system with a wide range of features
- There is no charger in the box
By adding a dedicated laser module, the S21 Ultra addresses the autofocus issue that plagued the S20 Ultra. In addition to the retooling that makes it a comfortable camera phone to recommend, it now comes with new telephoto lenses that set it apart from all other readily available smartphones. All focal lengths deliver lovely images with big on-paper specs. There is a good quality in the photos up to almost 30x, after which the quality starts to deteriorate. Furthermore, Samsung’s camera app, which balances features and ease of use, excels in low-light performance, selfies, and video recording.
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra comes in a sleeker design and utilizes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor for faster performance. You won’t have to make nearly as many compromises as you would with the regular Galaxy S21.
Samsung’s best display is on the front: regardless of the environment or content, the phone delivers an exceptional viewing experience. There is plenty of screen space, good pixel density, smoothness, and brightness for all situations. Additionally, it supports Samsung’s S Pen, making it a powerful productivity tool. It is a pretty expensive phone at a starting price of Rs 1,05,999, as you might imagine. Additionally, Micro SD card expansion is no longer supported, so you might need to spend even more money to get enough storage. In addition, the charging adapter is removed for environmental reasons from the box.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Release Date And Price
Now you can get Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra, which is available in a carrier- and an unlocked version. Starting at $1,199, the Ultra includes 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Furthermore, you can upgrade to a model with 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. That model sells for $1,249.
Design And Colors
There is no comparison between the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and any other phone. This is still a large device, and it will require you to use it with two hands because of the contour cut camera design that coalesces the camera bump into the glass back. The S21 Ultra measures 0.35 inches thick and weighs 8.08 ounces, making it thicker and heavier than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Galaxy S21’s display is gently curved, unlike the fully flat Galaxy S21. However, it’s not irritatingly curved.
There are only two colors available from carriers for the Galaxy S21 Ultra: Phantom Black and Phantom Silver. Nevertheless, Samsung.com offers three exclusive S21 Ultra colors: Phantom Navy, Phantom Titanium, and Phantom Brown. The Navy Blue S21 Ultra is exclusive to Best Buy.
The 1.7x larger fingerprint sensor is one of my favorite upgrades. The S21 Ultra lets me unlock the phone without pressing the sensor again, making it easier to use.
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra features one of the best screens on a phone thanks to its 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED display. Unlike its predecessor, it does not make you choose between the highest resolution and the highest refresh rate. When you watch videos on this phablet, you’ll be mesmerized. Watching on Netflix, the colors are as vibrant as ever, and the viewing angles are as wide as ever.
Cameras And Video
Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra stands out more than the S21 and S21 Plus when it comes to its cameras. The primary camera has a 108MP wide sensor, while the ultra-wide camera has a 12MP sensor, which is paired with a laser autofocus sensor. This 108MP main camera can capture photos with a 12-bit HDR format that is 64 times richer in color data and has a dynamic range three times greater than the S20 Ultra. In low light, the Galaxy S21 Ultra does very well, thanks to a faster Bright Night camera sensor and 12MP Nona-binning technology that reduces noise. This comparison shows more detail in the foreground of the S21 Ultra’s photo than the iPhone 12 Pro Max, although the colors of the iPhone look more natural.
Galaxy S21 Ultra supports recording 4K video at 60 frames per second and 8K video at 30 frames per second. It is Director’s View, however, that is the most impressive video upgrade. A new vlogger mode lets you record videos using both the front and back cameras simultaneously.
Performance And Features
With a choice of 12 or 16GB of RAM, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 processor. It is an impressive Android phone. As expected from Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra performed fairly well on benchmark tests. The Exynos and Snapdragon chipsets have historically differed significantly in performance and battery life. This gap is closed to negligible levels with the Exynos 2100, providing incredible performance and enhancing efficiency. Featuring a 5nm process, this is an octa-core processor with one high-performance Cortex X1 core, three Cortex A78 cores, and four Cortex A55 cores. When we tested the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s ability to transcode a 4K video to 1080p using Adobe Premiere Rush, it took 1 minute and 2 seconds. However, Samsung has removed the microSD card slot from the S21 Ultra while offering a variety of storage options – 128, 256, and 512GB.
- All the latest wireless standards are supported by the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, starting with 5G.
- This smartphone is also one of the first to support Wi-Fi 6E, a new standard in speed and bandwidth when coupled with a compatible Wi-Fi 6E router.
- The S21 Ultra also has UWB (ultra-wideband), which allows sharing of files with other UWB devices.
- Samsung’s new Galaxy SmartTags is perfect if you lose stuff all the time.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: S Pen
It features a Wacom digitizer integrated into the display, making it the first Galaxy S device to support the S Pen. As on the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, you can draw, sketch, and take notes with the S Pen. A case will keep the S Pen protected when you’re not using it since it’s sold separately. The Samsung S Pen Cover with Silicone Cover costs $69.99.
Battery Life And Charging
This is the phone you want if you want to use it all day long. The Battery life of the S21 Ultra’s 5,000 mAh was 11 hours, 25 minutes during our web surfing test over 5G. Unfortunately, the box does not include a charger. The move is the greenest choice, but if you haven’t bought a phone in a couple of years and don’t have USB-C, it will cost more out of your pocket. Charge time for the S21 Ultra was 30 minutes with a 25-watt charger and 15 minutes with a 15-watt charger.
Galaxy S21 Ultra is Samsung’s finally perfected big-screen phone. With the best display, improved cameras, and the ability to turn it into a Galaxy Note, this device has it all. Due to the increased cost, I consider S Pen support a bonus rather than an essential feature. This flagship has some flaws in my opinion. There’s no charger or microSD card slot, and it’s a bit heavy and big. Despite its speed, the S21 Ultra is still a little slower than the iPhone 12 Pro Max. On the other hand, Samsung’s phone has a longer battery life and offers more capabilities with its cameras. Overall, if you are looking for the pinnacle of Android smartphones, the S21 Ultra is it. In the race for the title of ultimate Android phone, it faces stiff competition from the excellent OnePlus 9 Pro.
